My Monthly Reads – November 2016
My Monthly Reads – November 2016
It seems I took an eclectic approach to my reading list this month which included chick-lit, some classics, an old-school thriller and I even managed to squeeze in some foreign lit at the end. It would have been great to get through more books…there are just so many…and so little time…aaah, the usual grumblings of a self-confessed bookworm?. I am pleased to say, though, that I have been able to tick off a ‘bucket-list author’, Jules Verne, having now read a lesser-known title of his, From the Earth to the Moon.
So, in order of awarded COFFEE CUPS…
- ☕☕☕☕A Man Called Ove by Fredrik Backman
- ☕☕☕☕Whispers by Dean Koontz
- ☕☕☕ How to get Filthy Rich in Rising Asia by Mohsin Hamid
- ☕☕☕ Raspberry Kisses by Cecelia Dowdy
- ☕☕ Penelope’s English Experience by Kate Douglas Wiggin
- ☕☕ From the Earth to the Moon by Jules Verne
- ☕ The World According to Garp by John Irving
For December I hope to, at least, read some modern children’s literature (come back next month to see the author of choice and see how many Coffee Cups get awarded) and the sequel to From the Earth to the Moon. All my books are still in storage from the move earlier this year and I expect they may be feeling a little lonely so perhaps it’s time to grab a box knife, head on out to the shed and let Christmas come a little bit early ??????!
