My Monthly Reads – July 2017
I am a huge fan of second-hand books and love nothing more than scouring second-hand book shops and charity shops for weird and wonderful titles to read. As I had a disappointing June I consoled myself with a long-overdue visit to my favourite book shop in Bangor. It’s hard to describe the place but if you remember the book-shop Bastian runs into in ‘The NeverEnding Story’ you’ll have a fair idea of what I see when I go in I picked up a real eclectic mix of old and new, popular and obscure titles and I’ll be sharing these reviews with you over the coming months.
Suffice to say, July was a GREAT reading month: ‘A Confederacy of Dunces’ was a BBC radio recommendation, Forster and Camus are authors I always enjoy reading and Grafton’s book is one I’ve read before but many years ago. Be sure to check in again next month and please feel free to send me your recommendations.
My July reads with the awarded COFFEE CUPS are as follows:
- ☕☕☕☕ A Confederacy of Dunces by John Kennedy Toole
- ☕☕☕☕ Where Angels Fear to Tread by E.M Forster
- ☕☕☕☕ The Outsider by Albert Camus
- ☕☕☕ A is for Alibi by Sue Grafton
